Who are we?
Our group in our launch event on Saturday 26th April.
We are a group of concerned residents of Greenwich Borough, consisting of people aged from toddlers to the retired. Our aim is very simple: to stop IKEA Greenwich. IKEA in Greenwich would cause traffic chaos, a loss of a beautiful community park, an award-winning environmentally sustainable building, nominated for the Sterling Prize, and air pollution. IKEA's trading model is car-centric, with most customers arriving to collect flat pack furniture by car or van. Unbelievably IKEA claim their store will reduce traffic in the area and Greenwich council have accepted this without challenge. Read on to find out more.....
